The Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. will be honored with a special broadcast on the Black Information Network this Friday, offering listeners a chance to reflect on the life and legacy of one of the most influential civil rights leaders in modern American history.

Beginning Friday (March 6) at 11:50 a.m. ET, BIN will air a dedicated tribute exploring Jackson’s decades-long fight for civil rights, political empowerment, and economic justice.

The special program will feature live segments, historical context, and analysis highlighting the profound impact Jackson’s work had on the ongoing pursuit of equality in the United States.

Andrea Coleman will host the broadcast, guiding listeners through key moments from Jackson’s extraordinary journey and the lasting influence of his leadership.

The program will also feature insights from Dr. Clarissa Myrick-Harris White of Morehouse College, who will discuss Jackson’s role in expanding political power and civic engagement within Black communities across the country.

Jackson, who rose to national prominence as a close ally of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., went on to found the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and became one of the most recognizable voices in the fight for racial justice, economic opportunity, and voting rights.

Through decades of activism, presidential campaigns, and grassroots organizing, Jackson helped reshape conversations around equality and political representation in America.
